Wine tasting has always seemed something close to a magic show to me; the differences in consistency, smell and taste were indiscernible. In Guillaume's small group setting, I felt comfortable asking questions and really learned something about wine amongst friends. While I am no expert, I definitely can appreciate the different attributes between wines more than I have ever before. You won't find me rolling my eyes when someone asks me if I smell truffles or can taste tannin.

I must say that I was very lucky to get to know Guillaume and his wine events. Although I was interested in wine, selecting wines at shops or restaurants was always an overwhelming task for me. Thanks to Guillaume, now I feel more confident in selecting wines.
All of events I attended as a member of UMBS Wine Club were carefully organized with great passion. While the Guillaume's events definitely have serious aspects of 'education', the atmosphere is very laid back and fun. They are also great opportunities to meet great people who love wines. Whether you are someone who just started to learn about wine or already an wine expert, you will find what you want at his wine events.

Guillaume is a true connoisseur of wines! He is incredibly knowledgeable in all areas - from his personal experiences in the wine making process to having tasted some of the finest wines in the world. As many members of the Wolverine Wine Club can attest to, Guillaume can talk for hours about the subject of wines as he shares his insights on the history, geography, and proprietor for every wine bottle he uncorks. At the executive tasting events, I can still remember his smelling kit he used to help us understand how to describe the bouquet of wines more eloquently. No one could ever smell truffle except Guillaume - and those who memorized the aroma bottle number from the previous event. I now own a kit too and can practice smelling! Guillaume brings a unique style of combining education with food and wine to create an enriching experience at his wine tastings. His passion and wine expertise is certainly missed at UMBS!
