I. Presentation by Guillaume Manuelle
Each event will be focused on a particularly educational topic that Guillaume will present assisted by maps or other media, as appropriate, to both provide general background information and to lay the groundwork for this specific tasting. Particularly popular at past events, this section has included smelling selected pure essences of scents that are expected to be found in the evening's selected wines. This helps members to 'know what to look for' later in the evening and to begin to sharpen their own scent identification skills. Past topics have included "Introduction to the Wine Making Process, Wine Making Processes (and how they differ for red vs. white wines vs. champagnes vs. dessert wines, etc.) , Comparison of French and Australian Wine Regions, etc."
